Who We Are

Our Community

Since 1973 Rockville, High School, Girls School Roads Neighborhood Association (RHGNA) has represented and served the residents of this community.  The RHGNA neighborhood is comprised of homes and businesses within High School Rd (to the east), Rockleigh Drive (west), Westlake Drive (north) and Jackson Street (south).  We are a lively, dedicated and diverse group that champions the fact that our neighborhoods are a great place to live and call home whether you are raising a family or enjoying retirement.  Welcome to our thriving community.  We are working to preserve it for generations to come.

What We Do

RHGNA Mission and Purpose

Our neighborhood association is passionate about preserving the stability and the residential character of our community.  We work to make our community a safe and desirable place to live.  We strive for improvements and public services within our area that will support our residents and protect home values.  Our mission is to promote the general welfare of the residents and their livelihood.  We pay close attention to all zoning and variance requests and oppose any development that will weaken the stability of the neighborhood or decrease home values.

Improving Our Neighborhoods

We have spring and fall meetings each a year to bring neighbors together to foster friendship and to discuss any issues or concerns. We biannually report on interim RHGNA activities at our meetings and usually invite a speaker to address current concerns or legislative issues that will impact our residents.

Reducing Crime

We publicize and attend Crime Watch meetings in our area to positively impact the safety of our community.

Reporting Zoning Violations

We report any zoning violations that may harm the integrity of our community and work to maintain the high standards of our neighborhood.

Preserving Our Community

To preserve the peaceful and residential nature of our community, we stand against any development that may compromise our quality of life or property values.

Community Issues

Standing Strong for a Peaceful Community

Unite to preserve our neighborhoods by saying no to the proposed 6-lane expansion! The Department of Transportation (INDOT) has plans to expand Rockville Road from four to six lanes, potentially threatening the charm and safety of our beloved communities. Our neighborhoods are perfect for raising families and enjoying a peaceful retirement, but this expansion could harm our quality of life by increasing traffic, compromising safety, and decreasing property values. By signing our petition, you’ll join us in standing together for a safer, friendlier community. Let’s work towards improving Rockville Road without the need for a disruptive expansion, and make a difference together.
