Ben Davis University High School (BDU) provides a unique opportunity for high school students to earn both a Core 40 high school diploma and college credits toward an Associate Degree from Vincennes University through dual credit opportunities. The program design, referred to as an early college high school, includes internships with business partners, project-based learning, and inquiry learning.

BDU’s mission is to prepare students for post-secondary education or training by providing rigorous, innovative educational programming designed for students who excel in a small and supportive academic environment. BDU aims to close socioeconomic achievement gaps and help students develop a sense of purpose for completing high school. With 387 students enrolled, BDU maintains a focus on personalized education and a small, supportive academic environment.
Four Majors with Dual Credit Courses for All Students
BDU offers four majors: Business, Information Technology, Health Careers, and Liberal Arts, each with dual credit courses for all students. The school’s curriculum prioritizes college readiness, and the faculty includes 18 teachers, 10 Vincennes University adjunct professors, and support staff, such as student services, a nurse, cooks, custodians, and administrators. The school boasts a 1:22 student-to-teacher ratio and a 100% graduation rate.
